The Baby is comming!
My life is about to change. These have been almost 38 weeks of enjoying how Piero, my son, was growing inside Marisu’s womb and now we are getting ready to meet him. It is really exciting but also scary.
I really look forward to meeting him. I can’t wait to see his face, touch him and kiss him because he will be someone that with the help of God, my wife and I created. It is simply a miracle that we have witnessed for more than 8 months but that will change our lives forever.
But as I mentioned, at times I am terrified. Am I going to be a good father? What if the economic situation in Peru turns around now that Humala is the president? Does the money we have cover all the expenses of a baby? These and many more questions come to my mind at times. However, it is all because I want the best for Piero. The only thing I ask God is that he is a healthy and strong baby.
As we all know, babies are not cheap. Fortunately, my sister-in-law organized a great Baby Shower in which Piero was very blessed with gifts. More than 60 people went to the shower and we all had a great time. The host of the show was a clown and although I am quite shy, I had a good time and enjoyed it. We gathered many thing in the shower that will help us a lot!
Having a baby is also going to be very challenging. My wife and I live alone and we are not going to have much help. My parents live in Canada and my mother-in-law is really busy. For these reasons I am going to spend more time at home working and having private English classes. As you know, I am the webmaster and teacher at www.inglestotal.com but I also work for a company that teaches executives English. I need to spend more time helping my wife at least for the first month so I am also going to start teaching classes through SKYPE . We have little experience with babies so we are going to learn together which makes it very exciting but we get nervous to think if we will do it well or not. However, I feel this is the way it should be and we will enjoy knowing Piero and learning how to raise him.
We are quite expectant and full of dreams. We have been buying many things for Piero and his room is almost ready. We just need to buy some more clothes but basically we are all set. She is due on June 26th but I have the feeling that Peiro is going to be born earlier. Remember us in your prayers!!!
